What does Online Booty Call get right?
Visually, the website looks good. It’s clear from the start that it’s aimed at those looking for some 'no strings attached' fun. If the name of the website isn’t enough of a clue, the pictures of scantily clad members at the bottom of the screen certainly make it obvious that this is the place to come if you're searching for something a bit naughtier. This is great if you have a busy lifestyle and no time to waste trawling the web for a website aimed at hook-ups. Likewise, if you’re looking for something a little more romantic, you’ll know from the outset to give this one a miss. It’s good to know what you’re dealing with from the start.
The process for signing up to Online Booty Call is really easy- a few short questions and you’re a member. Again, great for those with a busy lifestyle and limited time. Unfortunately, unless you’re happy to pay, this is where the good part ends.
What could Online Booty Call improve?
Some dating websites offer free membership for all, whilst others offer free membership for women only. Most will offer the option to upgrade to a paid membership with a few extra perks and this isn't unusual. While Online Booty Call claims that it is a free hookup website, you can’t really do anything unless you upgrade to their rather expensive paid membership. Sure, you can browse other members but what use is this if you can’t properly contact anybody? That’s right, in order to chat with or message other members, you have to part with your hard earned cash. You are able to send a ‘quick note’, but these are just short messages such as “hi, I like your photo” or “I’d like to chat”, which you choose from a short pre-written list. There’s no option to add your own message and unless the other person has a paid membership, there’s not much they’ll be able to respond with. Most of the services this dating website offers are like this- you have to pay for all of the perks.
Who’s using Online Booty Call?
As with all the dating websites I’ve done a review of, the members look like exactly the kind of people you find in everyday life. That said, as not much is available on member profiles other than information on what they look like and what they’re looking for, and as it's impossible to have a chat with them without paying, it’s difficult to say much else about them. Everyone is judged purely on their looks here, which can be a little off putting if you're not the most aesthetically pleasing person out there.
Is it worth signing up for Online Booty Call?
In one word: no. My overall experience of this website was negative; like many people who join dating websites, (whether looking for a fuck buddy of something more meaningful) I was not willing to pay. There are plenty of other websites that offer much better services for less or even for free. In my opinion, the website isn't good enough to justify the cost of its membership and there are much better dating sites out there regardless of what you’re looking for.
