For our tenth edition I wanted to do something a bit different, so I’m giving you a peek at my very favourite sex toys of all time. Everything on this list absolutely has the Ask Abi seal of approval, and if I had to cut my sex toy collection down to just ten sex toy essentials this is what I’d keep. In no particular order:
1. I’ve reviewed the Eroscillator for Popcorn.dating before, and it remains the only sex toy I’ve ever described as being “literally better than recreational drugs”.
2. Another edition of this column focused on the Feeldoe, which wins points for versatility and convenience. I’ve never been able to get behind the faff necessary for strap-ons (hurr hurr), and this is a clever way to overcome that.
3. Of course, to get the best out of your Feeldoe you’re going toned good pelvic floor muscles - and, as I discussed in a recent edition of my other column here at Popcorn.dating, I’m a big fan of ben-wa balls. My personal favourites are these for exercise and these for stimulation, but if I had the spare money lying around I’d pick up this set and combine the two effects.
4. If you're into BDSM, one of the "must have sex toy essentials" is a good collar and cuffs set, and for the combination of value, durability and customisation offered I’m very fond of mine. As discussed in a previous review, the seller does have a slightly strange approach to customer service - but I very much like their work.
5. I have a gorgeous heavy leather flogger that was gifted to me by a dear friend, and it’s far and away my favourite implement for impact play. I have no idea where it came from, though, and I’ve been scouring the internet for one to recommend to you that I think might be as good. I haven’t found the perfect substitute yet, but some of the offerings here come pretty close.
6. The Eroscillator is great, but I’m a firm believer in the power of a good rabbit-style vibrator. I was never a fan of sex toys covered in artificially cutsey faces and the ‘rabbit ears’ style doesn’t actually hit the spot quite right for a lot of people, which is why I’m so fond of the Fun Factoryvibrator range. The very first vibe I ever bought was one of theirs (it was an older model of this one, I think), and they keep making interesting new things.
7. I’m not one of life’s great fans of anal play, but even I think that a good beginner’s vibrating plug is one of the toy sex essentials. I own one of these, simply because it was the smallest one I could find
