Fucking Events: Pride Weekend London

Pride weekend London is upon us! Do you know how you’ll be spending your time? From tea dances to the official parade, there’s so much going on that it can be hard to sift through all the colourful happenings. That’s why we did it for you. (Now all you have to do is decide on an outfit.)



Saturday, June 25th 



12-7:30 PM - Pride in Soho: Meet up in Soho for live entertainment on two main stages: The Women’s Stage on Dean Street and the Cabaret Stage on Wardour Street. From comedy, to poetry, to a drag choir, you’ll see it all. Meander to Soho Square for a quieter time, or shop for food, drinks, and goods at featured vendors. 


12-8 PM - Trafalgar Square: Head to the square for bars and food stalls to satisfy your cravings and quench your thirst while enjoying Pride festivities. Featuring live music and performances including Beyonce Experience, musical theatre from shows like Kinky Boots and Heels of Glory, Pride’s Got Talent, and London Gay Big Band. 


1-4:30 PM - The Parade: Join thousands who will take the streets for the UK’s largest Pride Parade. The route will begin at Portland Place and conclude at Whitehall Place. Various businesses will be hosting watching parties and events if you’re not the walking type. A viewing platform will also be available in Trafalgar Square.


5-5:15 PM - Colour Blast: Get bathed in a colourful blast of powdered paint provided by Ku Bar in Soho and Bulmers #LiveColourful. The rainbow is set to burst at 5 PM sharp, so make sure you’ve found yourself a spot to taste the rainbow! Wear clothes that will be complemented by Roy G. Biv.


6-10 PM - June Lates: The Natural History Museum teams up with Pride London to host this free evening of sexy, colourful, and educational fun. Attractions include: The Homosexual Necrophiliac Duck Opera, Animal Attraction Odyssey, a Panel Discussion on basic instincts (sex), dancing, cocktails, and yummy eats. 


9 PM - Pride at Night: Pride’s official after party is sponsored by Smirnoff and takes place at Electric Brixton. VIP tickets are available and include mingling with celebrity guests on the mezzanine overlooking the dance floor, special bar access, socializing with featured artists at Pride, and a queue jump. But hurry! Several ticket tiers have already sold out.



Sunday, June 26th



12-9 PM - Black Pride: A free outdoor event taking place at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. This year’s theme is Transforming Our Community, and the day’s events all strive to bring about visibility and positive change for the LGBTQ community of colour. Headliners include: Seann Miley, Gina Yashere, and General Levy. 


1-10 PM - Pride in the Park: A picnic and live musical performances taking place alongside and in conjunction with Black Pride. Featuring live DJs, speakers, Pride in London awards, a dog show, drag booth, and stalls where you can learn more about LGBTQ charities and ways to contribute to the community. 


2-7 PM - Trans Pride Tea Dance: Wandsworth Oasis Amen Corner, cliniQ, and Trans People Across London South (TransPALS) host this afternoon delight featuring a dance floor, free admission, plus tea and coffee. Open to all members of the trans and gender non-conforming community. Come dressed as you please - no dress code will be enforced.


6:30 PM - Secret Soho Saucy Tours: Guides will lead you through London’s most flamboyant district...at night! See what the neighborhood has to offer, from historic to urban centers of pleasure. The tour starts in front of the Palace Theatre at Cambridge Circus, and includes a pub stop. 


7-9 PM - Pride Concert: The London Gay Symphony Orchestra will be closing Pride with their final performance of the season. The evening’s musical renditions include Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances, and the transvestite dream ballet Mavis in Las Vegas. The event takes place at St. Andrews Holborn Church. 


8 PM-2 AM - Southbank Surfing Pride Party: This all inclusive LGBTQ+ Pride after party welcomes straight allies to join in on commemorating the finale of London Pride. End your weekend having fun for a good cause; 20% of tonight’s ticket sales will benefit Pride in London, to fuel next year’s festivities.
